Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is now good and complete and we'd like to know what you think was the biggest story that came out last week. Was it Sony-Ericsson going Windows Mobile with the Xperia X1, Nokia's N95 successor the N96, Microsoft buying Danger Inc., or Google's Android OS being shown off. If you think the big story was something else, let us know in the comments.

All your iPhone dreams about to come true?

Since the iPhone was released with a long list of missing features and small bugs iPhone owners have awaited the first software update like the coming of the messiah. Looks like the wait might not be much longer as according to Apple Insider no less trustworthy a source than Apple's VP of iPod Marketing Greg Joswiak stated in a meeting with an analyst that "An iPhone patch is expected shortly."
We could talk about the analyst's speculation on what will be included in the patch, but instead we decided it would be more fun (and probably just as accurate) to speculate ourselves. Here's our guesses about what will be included in this initial patch:
* bug fix for the crashing Safari and iPod problems
* bug fix for the battery meter issue
Of course just like everyone else we'd like to see a whole lot more, but this is what we feel fairly certain about. What about all of you, what would you like to see most in this first patch?

Poll: Should phones be allowed in-flight?
Added on 2007-07-16 14:01:00
by Randall Bennett
We wrote earlier about the European Aviation Safety Agency's program to allow phones to be used during flights, and the Telegraph in the UK has some pretty irate readers writing in to let them know they don't support talking while flying.
An informal poll of our office finds roughly the same result, although we wouldn't be opposed to data usage. What do you think though, should talking while flying be allowed?
