O2 Cocoon: OLED hotness

 We haven't paid too much attention to the O2 Cocoon, but after the mob' pointed us toward an unboxing, we were quite impressed. The clamshell features a beautiful OLED external display, which looks to blend in perfectly with the handset's exterior. Apparently, the front display can show a clock, or even scroll text from SMS messages. Color us impressed. Check out the full unboxing pics, but keep in mind, this phone isn't slated to come out in the US ever... but admire away.

o2 previews the o2 Cocoon

 O2 has previewed a new music phone for the UK due out in August. The “O2 Cocoon phone” is also a portable music player and is compatible with a variety of different file formats allowing users to drag and drag audio files onto the phone’s 2GB memory card and immediately play them on the phone and also allows users to listen to FM radio. One neat feature of this phone is you can either have your music pause when your phone rings, or simply fade down and continue playing at a low volume while you are talking to a caller.
