AT&T Inc. is showing a lot consideration for its customers who have a habit of losing the phones. The company has created a back-up data application, called AT&T Mobile Backup. Via the this service AT&T subscribers can store, update and access contact information on the website mobilebackup.att.com. Users can also import information from Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo and AOL. One needs to shell out around $1.99 a month.
"Most people have contact information on their wireless devices that they do not have stored anywhere else," says Carlton Hill, vice president of voice products and devices for AT&T's wireless unit. "Because of this, we are excited to offer a secure back-up option to protect this important information."
