We showed you the code to activate a cell tower snoop mode for the iPhone last week, now if you're a Symbian Series 60 user, you can get all up in your carrier's biznass with CellTrack. While it doesn't look to be as detailed as the iPhone's mode, if you really want to know what your cell tower's cellID is and get details on signal strength, this app is for you. For the rest of us, we'll just point and laugh as you use your silly Symbian phone to geek out.

Lawn Darts game for mobiles: All the fun, none of the blood
Added on 2007-06-19 09:59:00
by Randall Bennett
Lawn darts were a fun family past-time in the eighties, till word of massive injuries resulting from large darts impaling unsuspecting family members caused a ban of the game. Now, thanks to camera-equipped cell phones, you can relive all the fun of lawn darts, sans Vlad the impaler tendencies. The new game, from Concrete Software, is a 3d version of Lawn Darts that you can play by swinging your cellphone in the air. The software then detects movement presumably by using the integrated camera to detect movement. All the fun, none of the blood. A true win-win situation if we've ever seen one.
