SlingPlayer Mobile For BlackBerry
Added on 2007-10-08 05:11:00

BlackBerry patrons will be happy to know that Sling Media is serious about developing a SlingPlayer Mobile application for RIM's smartphone. Versions of Windows Mobile and Palm OS have been available for a while now and Sling Media hopes to release a BlackBerry version soon.
“We're in the early stages of development and feeling positive with our progress. However because of the unique platform, a native application will take a fair amount of time to develop. On Palm and Symbian, the work took us the better part of a year. So this news shouldn't change anyone's Christmas plans.”

Sling Media, the folks behind SlingBox, says they're taking beta tester applications for eager S60 users. The beta will likely only run for four weeks, but if you've got a SlingBox, and a Nokia N75, N95 or E65, you might want to head over to the sign up page and get your Sling on.
