Sidekick LX Update by T-Mobile

T-mobile will send an Over The Air (OTA) update to its Sidekick LX users, which will further enhance the device. The update will add the following features:

    *
      Record video with the built-in camera
    *
      Play audio or video from the microSD card or an email attachment
    *
      Use stereo Bluetooth headsets, hands-free car kits, etc.
    *
      See a full overview of a web page, then zoom in on small sections
    *
      Check their spelling
    *
      And a number of other improvements

Video Recording Coming to Sidekick LX

Looks like video recording is finally coming to the Sidekick LX courtesy a firmware update by T-Mobile.  Support for H.264 is a possibility too and it may also end up playing Youtube videos.

T-Mobile Sidekick LX available for everyone

T-Mobile’s Sidekick LX is now available to the masses. The LX was made available October 17th on a limited basis to current T-Mobile customers. Starting today new T-Mobile customers will be able to pick up the LX as well.

Sidekick LX And Sidekick Slide Official Now

Sidekick LX and Sidekick Slide have been finally announced officially by T-Mobile. Both phones have been dominating tech headlines for a while now and but only today T-Mobile broke their silence.

 The handsets come equipped with 1.3 megapixel cameras and microSD Card support. The LX is available in dark brown and midnight blue where as the Slide in Purple. The LX is also the first Sidekick to allow text messages with attached pictures.

The LX will go on sale online Oct. 17 for $300 with a 2-year contract, and the Slide will cost $200 with a 2-year contract when it goes on sale Nov. 7.
