QIK Mobile Video Streaming Now in Beta

QIK’s live mobile video streaming service is now available to the public. Still in beta, the service supports Symbian and Windows Mobile OS and can let users stream videos live to their Facebook profile.

Wired Blog Reviews AT&T Mobile TV

The Wired Blog played around with the new LG Vu phone that was running AT&T's Mobile TV service with FLO. As promised by AT&T there was no buffering of videos and watching streaming live TV was quite an “experience”. The only downfall being that the service wont be operatble where there is no 3G network.

PhotoCopter Announced by Alltel

PhotoCopter is a new photo service from Alltel Wireless, which lets its subscribers automatically upload all their images from their phone to a web account or their PC. Available for $2.99 per month, PhotoCopter is supports Picasa, Flickr, and PhotoBucket.

AT&T Offers More Music Oriented Services

AT&T Inc unveiled two new music applications -- mSpot's Make-UR-Tones and Remix that will be a hit among the audiophiles. Make-UR-Tones allows customers to customize ringtones by using their mobile phone, and the Remix application gives customers access to their PC-based music collections directly from their phone.

The mSpot Remix service is available for a monthly subscription of $9.99, which allows users to download 75 songs a month and mSpot Make-UR-Tones is available for a monthly subscription of $6.99 for three ringtones.

BigString Launches Email Service for iPhone & Other Devices

BigString Corporation has released  a Beta version of its  mobile email service which lets the iPhone and other next-generation wireless device send self-destructing emails and pictures. The service will be available free for mobile browser-based users at http://mobile.bigstring.com.

Darin Myman, President and CEO of BigString Corporation, said, "The new generation of browser-based phones opens up a new, fast-growing market for BigString's email products. The addition of our mobile initiative for the iPhone and others is part of BigString's efforts to migrate our self-destructing technology to new market segments."

TeleNav Traffic Service On AT&T

AT&T wireless unit’s customers can now enjoy direct access to traffic information and rerouting services via the TeleNav Traffic Service. For now this service is only available on the BlackBerry® 8800™, BlackBerry Pearl™, BlackBerry 8700c and the BlackBerry Curve handsets.

“Traffic delays are one of the most fundamental and significant inhibitors to the productivity of mobile workers,” said Laura Johnson, senior director, Wireless Enterprise Solutions, for AT&T. “Our new TeleNav Traffic offering will help companies by allowing employees in the field to get to clients faster and therefore potentially handle more calls each day, all of which will result in a higher level of customer service.”
