Treo Mobile Comedy Film Festival Kick-Starts

Aspiring film-makers can send their “made for mobile” movies in the Treo Mobile Comedy Film Festival which is a joint initiative from Palm and MobiTV. For the uninitiated, made for mobile movies are created for the smaller screens of mobile devices instead of theaters, the web, or TV. Entries can be submitted at http://www.treofilm.com/ and the event wraps up by October 18. Head over to the site for all the details.

MobiTV closes UK doors

MobiTV the leader of Mobile television in the UK has decided to close its European doors and focus its energy on the US market. MobiTV will not longer provide services to UK carriers 3 and Orange.

NBC & MobiTV To Stream Shows

Love the antics of the Office guys? Hate missing the sublime episodes of Heroes? Well thanks to NBC and MobiTV, you can soon stream full episodes on your cellphones! Expect the service to kick in by the second quarter of 2007. Sounds good on paper but personally give me my LCD TV any day!
