Motorola at the CES 2008 has officially announced the Motorola ROKR E8. The quad-band GPRS/EDGE device via the onboard ModeShift technology transforms from phone to a music player by a single click of the button. One also comes across the vibrating haptics technology, which provides tactile response when a virtual key is pressed.
The ROKR E8 has 2GB internal memory, which can be expanded to 4GB, and the device is compatible with Windows Media Player 11 on the PC, which also provides access to more than 200 online music stores. ROKR E8 is expected to be available in Q1 2008.
While there has been no official confirmation from Motorola, expect the music centric phone MOTOROKR E8 to hit the shelves anytime soon. The MOTOROKR E8 has a funky touch-sensitive keypad, which Motorola calls the "Omega wheel".
Motorola is going all out when it comes to the E8 as one comes across a 2GB internal memory, microSD card support, two megapixel camera and a 2" 262K color QVGA display. Edge and GPRS support is also found and expect the phone to hit the shelves in November at a projected retail price of 280 Euro.
