HTC Touch: Elf + TouchFLO interface

 HTC showed off their new phone, the HTC Touch, in front of a crowd of Londoners today, and the big feature? Trying to compete with the iPhone A new interface named "TouchFLO" by HTC. Don't get it confused though, it's no multi-touch but rather a new way to sweep a finger / stylus around Windows Mobile. The::Unwired has some video of the gesture based input system running on the Elf, and it looks interesting to say the least.
Interesting or not, it certainly is an indicator of what all mobile phone manufacturers are feeling: iPhone envy, and we certainly don't blame them. The real question? Can Windows Mobilecan really compete in the interface game with the iPhone, or should Microsoft and WinMo handset manufacturers just stick to their open-ish platform and third-party application approach. HTC Elf Unboxing

.jpg) Boy Genius got their hands on the HTC Elf and have a photo gallery up of them unboxing the handset. Their first impressions of the handset are good. The report good image quality from the built-in 2 megapixel still camera, and good navigational controls on the phone. You can check out all the pics from their unboxing of the Elf here.
