LG Secret gets DivX seal of approval

The LG Secret has gotten DivX certification. The certification means that users can now upload their favorite DivX videos onto the phones memory, not that you couldn’t do it before…but now you have a official DivX seal of approval to do so.

Viewty gets DivX certification

LG has announced that the LG Viewty dubbed the “YouTube phone” is now DivX certified. This certification will allow the handset to play full length DivX movies that have been downloaded as well as likely stream them over the handsets 3G HSDPA data connection.

Samsung SGH-F500 DivX Certified

The uber-cool Samsung Ultra Video (SGH-F500) mobile phone just got cooler as its now fully DivX Certified! Yes folks that mean you can playback your fav movies on the mobile phone (what fun) and say goodbye to choppy videos. The DivX Certified Samsung Ultra Video F500 phone will be available later in 2007.

“The addition of DivX Certification to the Samsung F500 mobile handset opens a broad ecosystem of digital media that can be taken on the road while preserving the kind of high-quality experience that video aficionados demand,” said Kevin Hell, President of DivX, Inc.
