Disney Mobile is launching a new handset model for Japan. The DM002SH flip has microSD expansion, a one-seg TV tuner, 2 megapixel camera, and a 2.6-inch primary display. The Cinderella themed handset will be available for purchase complete with Cinderella wallpaper and ringtones on June 7th.

Disney Mobile just won’t give up. After going out of business in the US the MNVO has now set up shop in Japan teaming up with Softbank to offer some fancy new handsets. The carrier is aiming their business toward 20-30 year old females and is set to launch March 1st.

Disney Mobile is throwing in the towel. The company announced that it will “cease its wireless operations” on December 31st 2007. The company is encouraging subscribers to port their number to a new service by November and is offering reimbursements for customers hardware purchases.

Get excited Disney MVNO users (all three of you) there’s another handset for you on the way. Disney Mobile has launched the Pantech DM-P205. The handset is nothing to get excited about, but if you’re looking for a low cost reasonable low feature handset for your Disney lover then this one will be a perfect fit.

Disney Mobile gets an upgrade

Disney Mobile has announced a group of new features coming to their family friendly handsets. Starting this summer Disney will offer a scout feature that allows users to find places nearby that might interest them. Disney will also offer Call Control this summer that allows parents to control when their children are allowed to make calls through Disney's website or their own handset.
Coming in the future Disney plans on offering a photo sharing application and a family calender.
