We bring some good news for Canadian iPhone aficionados. Ted Rogers, President and CEO of Roger Communications have confirmed that they will be the first carrier to bring the iPhone in Canada.
“We're thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can't tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.”

Nokia 6555 on Fido Canada

The Nokia 6555 is now available on the FIDO Network in Canada. Those who sign up for a 3-year contract will need to shell out $75 for the phone and a 1GB memory card.

the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music Coming to Rogers

Mobile Canada is reporting that the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music will make its debut on Rogers Canada soon. The handset would replace the Nokia 5300 on Rogers and would retail for 99$. However this has not been confirmed officially by Rogers Wireless.

The Nokia N95 has made an appearance on Rogers Wireless’s website. The smartphone was spotted by Boy genius on the drop-down menu of Rogers Wireless’ game downloads site indicating that the handset may soon be making an appearance in Canada.

LG Shine on Bell

 Bell has launched the “LG Shine” for the Canadian market. The handset is almost identical to the VX8700 stateside on Verizon and has a 2 megapixel still camera, A2DP, and EV-Do data. Canadians can pick one up now for $130 CAD.

Canada is getting into the mobile phone game throughout North America.
Rogers Communications Inc., Canada’s biggest mobile operator, is offering video calling to North America. The company has developed a new HSDPA network, and upgraded services to boot.
Besides the video calling, the company is also adding some serious must-have’s for the wireless maniac. What should be a selling point alone, Roger’s will be providing the top 50 videos on YouTube each week.

Amp'd mobile has officially made their way across the border into Canada. Partnered with the Canadian wireless provider Telus Amp'd subscribers can use the CDMA service across Canada. Amp'd Canadian users also have access to French content from MusicMax and MusiquepPlus.
Amp'd Canada has five rate plans ranging in price from $35-$90 as well as 6 different entertainment package options including Amp'd TV and Amp'd Radio. Canadian residents can get started with Amp'd at and Amp'd or Telus store, Best Buy, Visions, Dumoulin, and Future Shop.
