Google Gears Goes Mobile

Google Gears, which is an open source browser extension is now available for Internet Explorer Mobile on Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices. This means that mobile users will be privy to Web-based applications on the go even when not connected to the Internet. Yahoo OnePlace Unveiled

Yahoo at the CeBit technology show in Hannover, Germany unveiled their new service called Yahoo OnePlace, which organizes Web content for quick access. Via OnePlace users can mark links, news feeds or search results which then can be easily accessed through a mobile device. Yahoo OnePlace, will be available in the second quarter of 2008, according to Yahoo.
"Yahoo OnePlace is where users will be able to find what matters to them the most, no matter where their interests, passions and information come from," Marco Boerries, Yahoo's executive vice president of "connected life," said in a statement.

NY Times Unveils ShifD

NY Times have developed a mobile application called the ShifD, which helps users transfer content between their computers and mobile devices. One doesn’t need to save their content individually on different devices as information saved to a person's ShifD account is automatically updated on all devices.
