Boy Genius claims to have an inside tip on what the iPhone data plan will cost: somewhere between $34.99 and $44.99. According to his source, the plan will be called the iPlan and will feature unlimited data use and either 2000 or unlimited text messaging a month. This seems plausible; Cingular currently charges $49.99 for an unlimited data plan for Blackberry users, so this is a little cheaper. There's no details, however, on what the voice calls may be priced at; Cingular voice plans start at $39.99, so if you want a combined voice and data plan, so if they stick with these plans, you're looking at a monthly outlay of somewhere between $74.98 and $79.98. If you don't get a voice plan, expect to pay a heavy duty 25 cents a minute.
