Engadget is reporting that Apple has just released version 1.1.2 firmware for the iPhone to coincide with the UK launch of the iPhone on Friday. The UK version comes with 1.1.2 pre-installed, but it looks like the changes for the new version are relatively minor - mostly just different keyboard layouts for European languages and a few other tweaks. The other big question is if the new version will stop the various hacks that open up the phone; initial reports from UK press who are reviewing the device are that is does block the Jailbreak and AppInstaller programs from working. We'll install the update and test it ourselves as soon as possible; watch this space. [Via Engadget]
