With consumer reaction ranging from i-ysteria to i-don’t-care, the answer is Maybe, depending on who you are. It’s hard to come up with a definitive answer for the general population, according to testers. This all-one-in device won’t appeal for power-type business professionals who are looking for extensive multi-media functions. Instead, the iPhone is geared for the forget-me-nots of consumers who want both a music player and mobile phone but can’t manage to fit both in their pocket. For them, the iPhone is the solution.

This weekend saw the dedication of the WirelessInfo.com and Reviewed.com staff to bring the first comprehensive full-length review of the iPhone. Among the WI’s mobile addicts are ten staffers and two interns who, like the thousands of Americans today, waited in line at Apple stores for what people have been dubbed as the “Jesus Phone.” Many of the writers, bloggers, and testers have been up since 3am, working a near straight 24-hour iDay to answer America’s number question - “Should I buy the iPhone?”
