Windows Mobile 6.1 and IE Mobile 6 announced

Windows Mobile 6.1 has officially been announced. In addition to some minor tweaks and a bit of an interface upgrade, 6.1 is set to offer a significantly improved Internet Explorer Mobile experience. With Internet Explorer Mobile 6, users will finally be able to view a full-sized site.

While a new feature for IE Mobile, Windows is a bit behind the bell curve on this one: the Series 60 browser, Safari, and Opera Mini have offered this ability for some time now. Really, this update isn't so much an innovation as it is playing catch-up.

Better late than never, we suppose.
