Battery Out
We were not able to take a photo of the battery slot. Motorola did not supply any information about capacity or expected battery life.
In the Box
The list of accessories that will be included with the Razr Maxx VE wasn't available, but most previous models have included just the phone and a charger: Motorola does not normally supply a headset with their phones.
Handling
We found the Razr Maxx VE easy to hold due to the soft touch paint on the back of the phone. We did have some concerns about the reflective plastic front as it picks up fingerprints very easily. Like all Razr's it is a little wide, and may be uncomfortable to hold for long periods for those with small hands. We did find the controls on the inside of the device much easier to use than the traditional Razr keyboard due to the raised ridges between buttons. Portability
Despite the slightly larger size when compared to the Razr V3m, the Maxx is still eminently portable, and will fit easily into a pants pocket or purse.
Aesthetic
We must admit that we liked the look of the Razr Maxx VE. We found the reflective front of the device attractive (when clean), and also liked the look and feel of the soft touch paint on the back. We did find it to lean a little more in the "professional" good looks direction rather than the "young and sexy" look due to the all black casing, but as always this is completely subjective.
Durability
We did not notice any significant problems with the Maxx VE's construction, however we always have concerns about phones with moving parts. In this case those concerns are heightened because of the presence of important components (the camera) on the hinge itself.
