As with other regular phones from Verizon that use the Brew interface, email is handled via online services. We prefer phones that have built in email clients, as an online service requires that you have network access to view your messages. Because the phone we reviewed did not have network access we were unable to review email in more detail. SMS and MMS messaging is also found in the messaging menu. You cannot turn an SMS message into an MMS message, but you can send messages to either individuals or groups. MMS messages allow you to insert a picture, video clip or sound. In the messaging menu you will also find the IM application, which allows you to access Aol, MSN or Yahoo instant messaging services.
