T-Mobile G1 unveiled, Samsung Armani M75500 Night Effect debuts and a 9-megapixel-camera module developed by DIS. Here is today’s round up of the main mobile stories doing the rounds.
Not only has the T-Mobile G1 site gone live but Engadget also gives us a sneak peak. T-Mobile’s Android based phone looks pretty sharp and features a 480 x 320 HVGA display. The 3G handset comes equipped with GPS, a 3.1-megapixel camera and capable of 5 hours of talktime. No stereo Bluetooth and no video capture may just be its Achilles Heel. The second Samsung Armani is not a touchscreen device and goes by the name of Samsung Armani M75500 Night Effect. The M75500 Night Effect will retail for around 300 Euros and features FM, a 3.2-megapixel camera, AMOLED display and Bluetooth.[Via Mobile Mag ] Digital Imaging Systems unveiled the DIS6931 module for camera phones which boasts of a 9-megapixel CMOS sensor. Apart from the impressive resolution, the DIS6931 would be able to shoot HD video at up to 30 frames per second and will also feature autofocus, and an advanced optical lens system. BGR is reporting that the Palm Treo Pro may soon be available on AT&T. While the Powers of Be at AT&T and Palm have not confirmed this, expect the handset to be available by December 2008.
