Sony Ericsson Z750a Cell Phone Review - Conclusion

Conclusion
The Sony-Ericsson Z750a is one of the best entry-level handsets we've reiviewed. Like any entry-level product there are compromises here. The phone isn't particularly pretty, the music software could be faster to load and we wish the camera inteface were better. But on balance you're going to get a lot of bang for your buck with this device. High speed 3G data is combined with a very capable browser. Despite the slow load time the music software is easy to use and looks good. The poor camera interface is balanced by solid performance for both stills and video. We were also quite happy with the talk time and music playback time on the Z750a, something that's rare on power hungry 3G devices.

If you can't get over the limitations you have plenty of other solid choices in the entry-level space like the LG Chocolate, Samsung M520 and Sony-Ericsson's W580i. But for under $75 we think you should definitely consider the Z750a amongst these others.

Who's It For

Business User
Business users will probably find the email and organization software just isn't up to snuff, and there's no support for enterprise integration. The Z750a isn't the phone for you.

Budget Callers
One of the top choices available for budget callers. In terms of bang for your buck this is one of the best phones we've reviewed.

Chatty Teenager
The Z750a is great choice for a chatty teenager. The text messaging interface is nice, typing on the keypad was fast, it support multimedia features if you want them and the camera is solid. All this for $50 will keep Mon and/or Dad smiling as well.

Media Maven
If you're looking for a multimedia phone on a budget the Sony-Ericsson Z750a is a good choice for you. The camera isn't going to match the Nokia N82, but it's significantly better than those found on many more expensive devices. The slow to load music software is a concern, but once you have it going it's fine and the multi-tasking capabilities are a nice bonus. It's no iPhone, but you'll be spending a lot less for it.
