The W350's quad-band GSM allows a great deal of flexibility for travelers throughout the U.S. and beyond, though the fastest data connection you'll get will be on the EDGE network. The W350 doesn't have Wi-Fi or infrared, but it has plenty of Bluetooth profiles to satisfy you, including the ability to use it as a wireless modem for your computer and connect to wireless stereo headphones.

Cellular Bands (8.0)
The W350 is a quad-band GSM phone operating on the 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 frequencies, offering the greatest amount of flexibility for cellular connectivity throughout the U.S. and around the world. In contrast, CDMA phones are more restricted, since CDMA networks are not often found outside of the U.S. For international travelers, a GSM phone will almost always be the best choice.

Data Support Score (3.0)
The W350 operates on AT&T's EDGE data network, dropping back to GPRS when EDGE is not available. The lack of 3G is not uncommon in low-cost feature phones, so this is not disappointing, per se.

Bluetooth (11.0)
The W350 has Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and boasts 13 profiles that make it useful for many purposes. First and foremost, the A2DP stereo music profile allows the use of wireless headphones through which you can enjoy your music, and the Dial-up Networking profile allows the W350 to be used as a wireless modem for your computer. Of course, Bluetooth headsets and hands-free devices also work. Pairing devices is easy with the W350 and we experienced no problems whatsoever with it.

The Bluetooth menu

Wi-Fi (0.0)
The W350 does not have Wi-Fi.

Infrared (0.0)
The W350 does not have infrared.
