Front Closed
When closed, the screen occupies the bulk of the front. Below the screen are a number of control buttons, including a D-pad, 2 soft menu keys, and Send, End, clear, and back buttons. Above the screen is the earpiece speaker.

Left
On the top on the left side of the C903 is the proprietary headphone connector; there is no standard headphone socket. It's obscured in the picture below by an anti-theft device on the show floor. At the bottom is a speaker grill.

On the bottom of the C903, there is the hold switch to prevent inadvertent input during music playback while the phone is in your pocket or bag. You can also see the holes for the microphone on the left.

Handling
The C903 is a petite device but it is very plasticky. It's a bit slippery as well thanks to its glossy surface.
Portability
The C903 is 3.81" long, 1.93" wide, and .63" thick, making it a smidgen less wide and shorter than the W580i but a little thicker at the same time. Like the W580i, the C903 is quite portable and should pose no problems sliding into a pocket or bag.
Aesthetics
The C903, though not of the Walkman line, looks fairly similar to the W580i overall, though with a different button style and layout. It's nothing ground-breaking or unique, but will be stylish enough for the targeted youth demographic.
