Email
Unlike the LG Chocolate 3 and the Sony Ericsson W580i, the C903 has a native email client. The display unit had a demo Gmail account set up to showcase this - we're happy to see this capability come to a mid-level phone in Sony Ericsson's line-up. Additionally, the C903's specs state that it's Microsoft Exchange Activesync-compatible, putting the C903 leaps and bounds beyond beyond other comparable devices.

Instant Messaging
The C903 is IM-capable, though we don't have information on what accounts and account types are supported.

Text & Multimedia Messaging
The C903 is capable of sending SMS and MMS messages. When creating a new message, a row of icons across the bottom of the screen provides easy links to add media to your message.
