If your cell phone is packed to the gills with music and SMS messages, you need a memory card. And SanDisk have just announced a new range of memory cards that might be suitable: their new Mobile Premier line of microSD cards support higher data speeds than existing cards and include a new standard for securing premium content.
The new memory cards come in 1- and 2-GB capacities and can be read from or written to faster then normal cards: SanDisk claims a read and write speed of 10 and 9 megabytes per second. The new cards also include SanDisk’s new TrustedFlash technology, which they claim will allow the network operators to download content directly to the card securely; the user can’t just copy the content off the card. The new cards will cost $44.99 for the 1GB version and $69.99 for the 2GB version
