Samsung i7110 Unveiled, Sprint Announces Samsung Rant and Highnote,New BlackBerry Application and More

Samsung i7110 unveiled, AP releases BlackBerry application, Sprint updates portfolio with two new Samsung phones and More. Here is today’s web round up.


The newly announced Samsung i7110 cellphone will run on S60 platform 3rd Edition and will come equipped with a 5-megapixel camera. This quad-band GSM/EDGE handset will also feature a 2.6" AMOLED, an optical mouse and pre-loaded 3D games.

The Samsung Rant and the Samsung Highnote are two new handsets, which are now available on the Sprint Nextel network. Samsung Rant costs $49.99 and the Samsung Highnote is priced at $99.99 after rebates and a 2-year contract.

 

 

The Associated Press has made a new Mobile News Network client application available for the BlackBerry handset. The application supports all BlackBerry devices and can be downloaded for free from bb.apnews.com.

 

According to Business Week the Powers of Be at Motorola are busy working on an Android based handset which may see a 2009 release. The handset is also rumored to feature an iPhone like touchscreen, a QWERTY keyboard and loads of multimedia features.
