Samsung Sway, Motorola Rapture VU30 and the MOTO VU204 on Verizon and More

Samsung Sway, Motorola Rapture VU30 and the MOTO VU204 available on Verizon, Samsung Instinct gets new browser and more. Here is a wrap up of today’s mobile stories.



The Samsung Sway is now available online on Verizon Wireless and should hit the stores by October 14th. Verizon Wireless has priced the Sway to be available for $69.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.








Apart from the Sway, Verizon Wireless also unveiled the Motorola Rapture VU30 and the MOTO  VU204. The VU30 features a touch-sensitive external display, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth Stereo support and is compatible with Verizon's Rhapsody. The VU20 on the other hand has a VGA camera and is an entry-level handset.








More on the Verizon Wireless front. In addition to 3 new handsets, the network also announced the availability of 3 Gameloft mobile games i.e. “NFL 2009,” “Asphalt 4: Elite Racing” and “The Oregon Trail. 



Sprint has released a new firmware update for the Samsung Instinct. The firmware includes the Instinct Web Browser, version 1.1 that brings a 10x improvement to rendering speed, most noticeable in the areas of pan/zoom/resize functionality.

The Pantech C610, which is a 3G clamshell handset, is now available on AT&T. The HSDPA handset comes pre-loaded with Napster and eMusic software and also features GPS support.
