Front Open
The front of the Memoir is dominated by the large touchscreen. Immediately below the touchscreen are the Send, Back, and End/Power buttons. Above is the earpiece speaker, and to the far right are the proximity and ambient light sensors.

Left
On the left side are the headphone and TV out ports and the microSD card slot, both with plastic covers for protection.

Top
There is a plastic cover on the top of the Memoir that appears to cover a Micro USB slot, but the specs of this port have not yet been released.

Bottom
Three small holes for the microphone are on the bottom edge of the Memoir.

Right
There are several buttons on the right side. At the top are the volume up/down buttons, which also control the digital zoom in the camera. The next button is the lock button to prevent inadvertent input; this locks the phone. The round button near the bottom is the camera shortcut key and shutter activation button. At the very bottom on this side is a lanyard loop.

Back
The rear of the Memoir is dominated by the camera lens, which is not covered. Next to the lens are the Xenon flash and auto-focus assist light. On the left is a raised ridge which helps the grip when taking pictures. The bottom portion is covered in a pleather-ish material with a pebbled texture.

Handling
The Memoir is quite surprisingly light in the hand but its squared-off edges on each side offer a good grip. It shouldn't pose any problems when held up to your ear for long conversations or cause you to worry about it slipping out of your hand while walking around with it. It also handles well as a camera, feeling like a small point and shoot in the hand.
Portability
The Memoir is 4.72" long, 2.13" wide, and .55" thick, and weighs in at 4.4 ounces. As previously mentioned, it is quite light, enough to potentially be forgotten in a deep pocket.
Aesthetics
The bulk of the Memoir is in matte black, while some sections along the edges and the buttons are done in chrome, which we could do without. Regardless, it's a good-looking phone, though not particularly ground-breaking or stunning in any way.
