Samsung Beat for T-Mobile Cell Phone Review - Connectivity

Cellular Bands (8.0)
The Beat is a quad-band GSM phone, which runs on the 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz spectrums. If you like to travel abroad, you could bring your phone with you and use it. While this will mean insane overages, you could ease the cost a bit by picking up a local SIM card once you get off the plane.

Data Support Score (3.0)
The Blast has an EDGE data connection, which can only manage 150-250 Kbps transfers. If you're used to cable internet, or a phone with a 3G connection, you'll definitely notice the browsing feels slow.

Bluetooth (8.0)
The Beat supports Bluetooth 2.0. The Beat has the following profiles: headset (mono and stereo), handsfree, file transfer, object push, basic printing, dial-up networking, and serial port. It appears as though this list of Bluetooth capabilities is becoming T-Mobile's standard offering for entry-level handsets.

Wi-Fi (0.0)
The Beat doesn't have wi-fi capabilities.

Infrared (0.0)
The Beat doesn't have infrared, but we're pretty sure none of its users will notice the difference. Samsung puts the Beat's battery life at 250 hours.
