CTIA, Orlando, March 26, 2007 - QSound Labs announced today at CTIA that they have developed a suite of audio enhancements for CSR's BlueCore3 and BlueCore5-Multimedia chips, which form the core of many Bluetooth headphones and other wireless audio devices. The suite includes algorithms that CSR claim will provide better audio playback transmitted over Bluetooth, especially for highly compressed audio formats like MP3 and WMA.
The technology, which has been included in many high-end home audio systems, increases spatial processing to add the feeling of more depth to playback on both speakers and headphones. "QSound's rich package of audio enhancements for CSR's BlueCore platforms greatly improves the user experience providing a more natural dimension to sound," said Anthony Murray, Senior Vice President, Wireless Audio Business Unit, CSR.
CSR's BlueCore multimedia platform supports multiple third party software platforms. QSound is the latest partner in their eXtension Partner Program.
