Conclusion
The Treo Pro is a compact device that packs in a lot of features that are appealing to the typical business user. Beyond its capability to keep your business life in order and you on top of email, it can keep you entertained with its decent multimedia capabilities and can engross you in a couple of games out of the box. Since it's also highly extensible, you'll be able to increase its functionality with 3rd-party applications to your heart's content.

In the end, the Treo Pro proved to be a very capable device, outscoring all but one of our comparison devices. While it doesn't present anything groundbreaking or terribly exciting, it's a device that will definitely get the job done.

Who's It For

Business User
The Treo Pro is squarely aimed at the business user, and rightly so with its excellent messaging and organizer capabilities. Business users also have the opportunity to be entertained by the Treo Pro's multimedia capabilities, so it's not all work and no play by far.

Budget Callers
With a price tag of $549, the Treo Pro doesn't even come close to being ideal for the budget-conscious buyer and we can't recommend it at all for this group of potential users.

Chatty Teenager
Though the Treo Pro's call time battery life is decent and its full QWERTY keyboard is definitely conducive to text messaging, the high price tag makes it a less than ideal for the chatty teenager. Additionally, its messaging and organizer capabilities are overkill for the teenager focused on staying in touch with friends.

Media Maven
With just a 2.0-megapixel camera and okay still image resolution, the media maven won't be enamored with the Treo Pro's picture-taking capability. It can record video as well, but if the media maven has as much trouble with the Treo Pro in opening recorded videos on a computer for later viewing as we did, the Treo Pro will end up at the bottom of the pile. For consuming media, the Treo Pro will get the job done, though viewing video on its small screen will not be a pleasant experience for hours at a time.
