Palm has been making portable electronic devices for several years now and the Treo Pro is their latest smartphone offering, packing in 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, and GPS. With a 2-megapixel camera, the Treo Pro also promises on paper to do an okay job of capturing those impromptu moments worthy of remembering. | Section | The Good | The Bad |
| Tour & Design | Professional good looks | Ultra shiny and slick plastic |
| Audio Quality | Very good audio received | Side tone is very high |
| Imaging | Ultra-fast shot-to-shot times in burst mode | Lots of noise in low-light conditions |
| Making/Receiving Calls | A vibrate mode to beat all others | Slow dialing and tiny Send & End keys |
| Messaging | Fantastic email capability | Limited IM ability out of the box |
| Organizer | More than enough to satisfy business users | No one-touch voice note recording |
| Multimedia | All the basic music and video playback functions you need | No on-device music or video playlist creation |
| Software | Thousands of 3rd-party applications available | Not the most intuitive interface, but still quite usable |
| Battery Life | Call time and music playback time are decent | Web browsing drains the battery the fastest |
| Connectivity | 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth goodness all present | No complaints here |
| Hardware | Fast text entry despite the tiny keyboard buttons | Too-flush side buttons with little travel |
| Other Features | GPS and Bluetooth keep us happy | No USB tethering makes us sad |
| Value & Comparisons | Offers great flexibility as an unlocked device | High price tag relative to most competing devices |
