Supported Email Services
The Pre supports POP3 and IMAP email accounts, as well as Outlook EAS for use with Microsoft Exchange. According to Palm staff at the demonstration lounge, there is no limit to the number of email accounts that can be set up on the Pre.

An individual email
The Pre has an integrated email inbox to show the inbox contents of all email accounts set up on the Pre. Alternately, the inbox for each account can be viewed individually as well.

Push Email
The Pre is capable of push email via Microsoft Exchange Server. Palm is not discussing the possibility of other push email services at this time.
Instant Messaging
The Pre is capable of instant messaging natively with Google Talk and AIM accounts. Instant message conversations are shown in a threaded view, and it's easy to toggle between conversations and your buddies list using the virtual buttons at the top.

Text Messaging
Palm touts a unified messaging threaded view for conversations that take place over IM and text messaging. We've always appreciated Palm's threaded SMS views in previous devices, and this is definitely a step forward to advance this feature above competitors.
