Cellular Bands
The Pre will operate in the U.S. on Sprint's CDMA network. The details on the specific bands have not yet been released, but we think it's safe to assume that it will be a dual-band device operating on the 800MHz and 1900MHz bands.

A GSM version of the Pre was not announced at the press event, but Palm has apparently confirmed that a GSM version will come for other markets.

Data Support
In the U.S., the Pre will operate on Sprint's high-speed EVDO Rev. A network.

Bluetooth
The Palm Pre has a Bluetooth radio operating under the 2.1 + EDR standard. The A2DP profile to allow the use of stereo Bluetooth headphones has been touted, though when asked, Palm did not provide details on any other Bluetooth profiles that will be included.

Wi-Fi
The Pre has a Wi-Fi radio operating under the 802.11b/g standards.

Infrared
The Pre does not have an infrared port, unlike many Palm Treo predecessors.
