Palm OS II Delayed

Palm Fanboys are in for a disappointment as  its much-anticipated Palm OS II will not be released before 2008. The new mobile OS will be based on Linux as well as the Garnet OS.During a recent conference call, CEO Ed Colligan said "Products based on the new Linux-based platform that we're working on, that won't be until some time next year."

Colligan also put aside speculations that Palm will not focus on Windows Mobile.
"We see Windows Mobile particularly playing more strongly in the enterprise, medium businesses, and internationally, and our Palm OS products being more consumer based," said Colligan.
