Nokia reveals lineup at Mobile World Congress

Nokia revealed its lineup of new smartphones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today. Topping the list is the N96, the successor to their successful N95 handset. The N96 adds new styling reminiscent of the N81 and ups the ante with 16GB of built in storage plus the ability to add even more storage via Micro SD.

The Nokia N78 is the other N-Series handset revealed today. The successor to the N73 the N78 has a five megapixel auto-focus camera and GPS support. Unfortunately it looks like it also sports a fiddly keypad like the Nokia N82.

Stepping away from the N-Series lineup but still running the Symbian Series 60 smart phone interface are the Nokia 6210 Navigator and Nokia 6220 Classic. The 6210 is a slider phone with a focus on GPS navigation, although given that all of these phones support GPS we don't know why you would have a separate device in your lineup for that, but we digress. The 6210 Navigator sports an updated 3.2 megapixel camera over its predecessor and also adds an acceleromter and integrate compass to aid you in your... navigation.

The 6220 Classic is a candybar device that, despite being at the bottom of Nokia's smart phone lineup, sports some impressive specs. The camera has been upped to a five megapixel auto-focus job with Xenon flash and GPS capabilities. Given these specs you have to wonder why anyone would pay the extra for an N78 or N96.
