Nokia open to DAB phones, Unlocked G1 for Developers

Nokia's director of technology marketing Sari Stahlberg indicated in a recent interview that Nokia is open to DAB technology. However for the Finish mobile giants are playing safe, as they want to se how successful DAB phones are in Europe. So what do you think? Should Nokia take the plunge?

Google has started selling the unlocked version of the G1 device to registered Google Android Developers for US$399. The device doesn’t come with a SIM lock or bootloader lock and one can become an Android developer for $25.

The ZTE TXTster is now available on Telus for $29.99 with a three-year contract. Marketed primary as a texting device because of its Fastap keypad, the handset also includes 1.3 Megapixel camera and supports GPS navigation.

Acer branded smartphones are not just an urban legend as the company hopes to start shipping them by early 2009. According to company insiders Acer wants to concentrate on the smartphone industry and hence will increase staff in its smartphone division.
