Nokia N95 Coming to the U.S.

You may have noticed that we complained that the Nokia 95 was being released worldwide but not to the U.S. Well, according to Gearlog the wait may not be too long as they are reporting that the N95 will be coming to the U.S. in the second quarter of this year. It will not be available through a carrier, but as an unlocked phone directly from Nokia's website.

The N95 is the flagship of Nokia's consumer oriented N-Series lineup of smart phones. Sporting a dual slider design with dedicated music keys, GPS, Quad-Band GSM, 5 megapixel camera and TV out, the N95 only supports the international flavor of 3G. Still, buiit in Wi-Fi makes up for this somewhat, and although you should expect to pay through the nose for it as an unlocked phone, its nice to see that you may not need to purchase it through some shady ebay dealer. Still, take this with a grain of salt as the N95 hasn't shown up on Nokia USA's coming soon page yet.
