Music Software
We've always liked music applications found on S60 devices and the N86's looks just like the ones we've seen in the past. The only difference we saw in the main menu compared to the N82 was the addition of podcasts to the list of ways in which to view your music library.

Music Formats
The N86's specs indicate that it's capable of playing back MP3, WMA, AAC, eAAC, and eAAC+ files.

Video Software
The N86 uses the RealPlayer for video playback, unsurprisingly. A test video loaded onto the demo unit played without issue to our naked eye and was quite vivid and vibrant on the OLED screen.

Video Formats
The N86 can play back MPEG4 and 3GP video files with the H.263 and H.264 codecs.
