Tethered Modem (7.0)
The Nokia N78 can be used as a modem for your computer both via USB and Bluetooth. Setup is straightforward, as long as you have your carriers connection settings, which are usually just a google away.
GPS (8.0)
The Nokia N78 has built in GPS functionality, a feature that's becoming almost ubiquitious in Nokia's N-Series lineup. The N78 uses A-GPS, which means that it also uses cell towers to assist in finding your location and locking onto stellites quickly. GPS can be used with the included Nokia Maps 2.0 software. Much like Google Maps it provides local search and directions, but also offers the option for turn by turn voice guided navigation. You'll have to pay extra for the last, however, about $10 per month, although there is a trial included with the phone out of the box. The navigation software is pretty good, but if you don't like it, or don't want to pay monthly for voice guidance, you also have the option to go out and find a third party solution like Garmin or Tom Tom.

FM Transmitter (5.0)
One of the Nokia N78's unique features is that there is a built in FM Transmitter in the phone. We're not talking about an FM Radio here, although that's also on board, but rather it will allow you to broadcast audio from the phone on an FM frequency. For example you could use it to play music from the N78 on your car's FM radio, or if you have an FM Radio sitting around the house you could use that as well. This is a very nice extra to get out of the box and we hope that Nokia starts rolling it out across their lineup, although we should also note that FM Transmitters are not necessarily always reliable. In areas with a lot of FM Stations it can often be difficult to find an empty frequency on which to broadcast.

FM Radio (5.0)
Sepaking of frequency modulation the Nokia N78 also has a built in FM radio, so you can listen to FM stations while one the move. You'll have to plug in the included headphones to use this feature as they act as the antenna for the radio.
