| Support for AT&T's 3G network means fast speeds wherever you get a 3G signal, albeit with costs in battery life. If you're not in 3G range the built in Wi-Fi should prove a boon and the Bluetooth support is excellent. |

Cellular Bands (8.0)
The Nokia N78 is a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) GSM handset that should function on any GSM network worldwide. This makes it a good choice for world travellers who need their phone to work anywhere they go. In the U.S. it will function on AT&T and T-Mobile's networks.
Data Support Score (8.0)
The Nokia N78 supports high speed data via 3G but only on AT&T's network. It will not function on international 3G networks or T-Mobile's upcoming 3G network. If you are on AT&T and are in a 3G area you should see speeds up to 1.4 Mbps using HSDPA, with real life speeds a bit lower than that depending on current network conditions. If you aren't in a 3G network you will fall back on the slower EDGE network with maximum speeds around 230 kbps.
Bluetooth (10.0)
The Nokia N78 supports Bluetooth 2.0 and can handle the following profiles: A2DP, AVRCP, Basic Imaging, Basic Printing, Dial-up Networking, File Transfer, Hands-Free, Headset, Human Interface Device, Object Push, SIM Access, and Synchronization. This is a good selection of Bluetooth profiles, as we've come to expect from Nokia. We were able to get a Bluetooth headset paired and working with the N78 without problems.

Wi-Fi (7.0)
The Nokia N78 supports Wi-Fi b/g and also supports the UPNP for streaming media over the Wi-Fi network to other enabled devices.

Infrared (0.0)
The Nokia N78 does not support infrared connectivity.
