OS
The E75 runs the S60 3rd edition with Feature Pack 2 - this is a powerful and mature operating system that offers far more than the closed proprietary operating systems found on many devices.

Home Screen
Like the N86 and other devices, the E75 uses the Active Standby home screen we've seen before, providing customizable shortcuts to the most frequent-used applications and upcoming event information at a glance, much like the home screen found on the Palm Treo Pro. One neat tweak is that it's possible to have 2 different home screens that you can switch between through an icon shortcut on the home screen. This allows you to, for example, create a home screen for work and one for personal use and set the most commonly-used applications for each persona.

Extensibility
The S60 OS is a highly-extensible one with thousands of 3rd-party applications available to expand the functionality of the E75.

Browser
The Nokia browser we've seen on previous devices is a powerful one that offers advanced features not usually found on cell phones. We browsed to our site on the E75 and expect it to be just as functional as on the E71 once we get one in hand to review.

Other Software
The E75 comes with the QuickOffice application for viewing and editing Microsoft Office documents, as well as a PDF Viewer, and ZIP file manager.
