Tethered Modem (6.5)
The Nokia E66 can be used as a tethered modem via USB or Bluetooth for your computer. This allows you to access the carriers data network via the phone, letting you get online with your computer. Setting up the connection will vary depending on your carrier, you can usually find the proper settings and instructions online. We had no problem connecting to AT&T 3G network with the E66 on our Mac.

GPS (8.0)
The Nokia E66 support GPS, including assisted GPS, which uses triangulation via cell towers to make finding your position faster than standard GPS. You can use Nokia's Maps 2.0 software, which is included on the phone, to view your location, do local searches and get directions. If you want voice guided directions you'll need to pay extra, Nokia charges about $10 per month for this functionality.

Nokia Maps 2.0 comes pre-loaded to use with the GPS.

Nokia maps is fairly capable software, the features are slightly better than Google Maps, which doesn't included voice guided directions, but not quite as good as the top players in the field like Tom Tom and Garmin. One nice feature of Maps 2.0 is that you can download and install maps instead of loading them over the data network. This makes it possible to go outside of cell range but still use the application to get around, something you can't do with Google Maps.

FM Radio (5.0)
The Nokia E66 includes an FM radio that will allow you to listen to local radio stations as long as you have the included headset plugged in to act as an antenna.

You'll need to have the headset plugged in to use the Radio.

PTT (0.0)
Although the Nokia E66 supports push to talk functionality it won't work on any push to talk network in the U.S., as such we aren't awarding any points for it.
