Tethered Modem (6.75)
The 5800 is able to act as a tethered modem via Bluetooth for both Macs and PCs, and via USB for PCs. Tethering via USB on a PC requires a driver installation first, but after this it's easy to get up and running. Via Bluetooth, the connection is easy to make and use. The only other devices among our comparison that offer tethered modem capability out of the box are the Blackberry Storm and the HTC Touch Diamond.

GPS (8.0)
The 5800 has a GPS receiver and comes with the Nokia Maps software. Currently, the 5800 comes with a mere 1 month of free navigation/maps access. After this, you will need to pay $99 per year to continue using it. The Nokia Maps software offers voice-guided turn-by-turn directions plus directory search capabilities. We found it to be quick to obtain a signal outdoors, though it took a long time, and sometimes completely failed, to get a fix on our approximate location using cell tower location data when indoors.

The Nokia Maps application

If $99 per year is too steep for you, you can download a free Google Maps application that will make use of the internal GPS receiver, though it won't give you voice-guided directions.

PTT (0.0)
The 5800 does not have push-to-talk capability.
