Who's It For

Business User

Business users need things like "email clients" and "quality software", neither of which are on the W385.

Budget Callers

As a free, entry-level phone, the W385 was made for budget callers. If you just want a phone that can also take pictures, you'll like the W385 just fine.

Chatty Teenager

The phone can't play music, but it can take pictures. We can see many parents getting this for their kids simply because it's free and can snap photos.

Media Maven

The only thing media-oriented the W385 can do is take pictures, and it doesn't even do that well.

Conclusion
The W385 is a good, free, entry-level phone. It makes calls, takes pictures, and can browse the internet if you so choose. Though it doesn't quite have the frills of the devices we usually review, it also has a much more manageable start-up cost. We'd recommend the W385 to someone who doesn't know or care about phones and just want to be able to make calls.
