Cellular Bands (4.0)
The Razr2 V9m is a dual band CDMA phone that only works on Sprint's network. As such the V9m can't be used on GSM network, which are used in most parts of the world. This means the V9m is probably not a good choice for world travelers. Our score for cellular bands is based on the total number of bands supported.
Data Support Score (6.0)
The V9m supports Sprint's high speed EVDO network with average speeds between 400 and 700 Kbps. We were not able to determine if it will support Sprint's newer EVDO Rev A network. When not in EVDO coverage areas the V9m will fall back on the slower 1XRTT network. Our score for data support is standardized based on the type and bands of supported data services.
Bluetooth (6.5)
Unlike its cousins the Razr2 V9 and V8, the V9m only supports Bluetooth version 1.2. This means you cannot have multiple Bluetooth connections. It seems strange to us to go with the older standard, perhaps this is related to the use of the older operating system on the phone. The selection of profiles is good, with support for A2DP, AVRCP, push transfer, file transfer, phonebook access, headset, hands free, and dial up networking. We were able to get the Razr2 V9m paired with both a mono Bluetooth headset and a stereo Bluetooth headset without too much trouble.
Wi-Fi (0.0)
The Razr2 V9m does not support Wi-Fi.
Infrared (0.0)
The V9m does not support infrared connectivity.
