Updates for Moto Q9h and N78 NAM, 3G iPhone to get a fix and the Palm Treo Pro makes a brief appearance. These are the stories which caught our attention today and we bring them to you in this round up.

The Windows Mobile 6.1 update is now officially available to Motorola Q9h users. The update promises an overall speed boost and also fixes some minor bugs. So hit the download button and don’t forget to back up your data first.

Looks like it’s not just the Q9h getting an update. Nokia finally shows some love to N78 NAM users by releasing an OTA update. Only for North American users (hence the NAM part), the update makes the scroll wheel and the right softkey more responsive and also improves the music player. To download press *#0000# on your phone and go to ‘Check for Update‘.

We love slips by mobile manufacturers especially the Freudian kind. Palm accidentally revealed the Treo Pro Smartphone on their website in a Flash video demonstration. The video was taken off but not before screenshots were taken by some enterprising souls. The Pro seems to have a black casing with silver trimming and may run on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional on a 333 MHz processor.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Apple is hard at work to rectify the dropped calls problem plaguing the 3G iPhone. A software update will be available in few weeks to correct the problem which many feel is arising due to a chip made by Infineon Technologies AG.
