![]() Digitimes is reporting that Palm may be releasing new Treos based on the Linux platform as soon as October. Instead of using the Access Linux platform which is being developed by the company that actually bought the old Palm OS, instead indications are that they will be using a version of Linux developed by Wind River Systems. They are using the same platform to run their oft-maligned and potentially delayed Palm Foleo pseudo-laptop. We have to wonder if this is Palm scrambling to get a new platform out there as criticism of their offerings has ramped up over the past year. [Via: Engadget Mobile]
