Samsung Pixon very much a reality, new iPhone firmware tweaks Safari, No Zune phone and more. Here is a round up of stories making waves this weekend.

The Samsung Pixon homepage is live now and you can check it out here. On October 2, Samsung will upload the image taken by photographer Nick Turnip from the 8MP camera phone, so mark your calendars.







We already informed you about the iPhone firmware 2.2 being released to developers. Now more on that front. According to the word on the web, the new firmware brings a slightly revamped Safari browser and includes a separate Google search bar.

Scott Rockfeld, group product manager for Windows Mobile rubbishes the perpetual rumor that Microsoft is working on a Zune Phone. He makes it clear that Microsoft is not interested in building their own phone. A wise move, given the fate of the Zune Player. What do you think?

Reuters is reporting that Nokia’s answer to Apple’s iPhone aka the “Tube” will be unveiled on October 2 at an analyst and media event in London.  For now Nokia is staying mum on its release date.
